“The Sound Four” is a quartet group made up of four boys from District 186 who have been singing in the community and representing LHS and the district, as well as competing at Barbershop Events.
They are Stephen Hollenback (12), Baylon Elfgen (12) who both attend Lanphier High School and Harrison Paries (12) who is finishing his senior year at home, along with Bryce Cody, who goes to Southeast High School and is also a part of the Land of Lincoln Chorus.
Stephen, Baylon, and Harrison all had the idea to start the quartet, but it was mainly a group decision. They all knew each other before they even started the group.
The boys wanted to be a part of the group because they enjoy singing and thought it would be fun to do. They started doing competitions about two years ago; however, they started out in the chorus and worked their way up from there.
“My favorite part about being in the quartet is the singing,” stated Stephen.
They have a concert and dinner coming up on May 3 and 4 of 2019 at Sugar Creek Methodist church. Tickets for this evening are $20, but ages 14 and under are $10.
Dinner starts at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. the event is called “Songs of the Silver Screen.” They sing all kinds of different songs like Disney, songs from movies, but mostly love songs; however, they are opened to singing anything. So come out and support them.
