The new season of sickness, coats, snow, and cloudy skies has rolled around. This season is one that most people dislike, and its name is winter.
During winter, we mostly think about making snowmen and/or drinking hot chocolate while sitting inside the house and reading a book, cozy, under a blanket. What never comes to mind is swimming, beams from the sun, laughing and enjoying the bright blue sky above us.
Some can argue that sitting inside with a cup of hot cocoa is better than the hot sweaty sun, but come on, what is better than summer all year long? Here are some ways to turn this cold ole season to a warm and enjoyable one.
In the season of winter, we have vacation. During vacation, there is a choice to either stay home and read that very intriguing book or plan an away vacation with family or friends. Take a vacation that is away from this cold weather. There are many places to go. Those places include: Florida, California, Hawaii, Texas, Arizona, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Delaware and Louisiana.
Florida: During the winter, the best places to go for warm temperatures are Daytona Beach, Gainesville, Key West, Orlando, Tampa, Miami, and Vero Beach.
California: In California, the best places to go for good temperatures year round will be the following, Long Beach, Los Angeles, San Diego, Santa Barbra and Santa Maria. Their temperatures stay no lower than the mid 60 degrees.
Hawaii: The average temperatures for Honolulu on the island of Oahu and Kahului on the island of Maui usually stay in the 80 degree weather all year. An extra plus is that this is an amazing tourist attraction in America.
Texas: The temperatures in Brownsville, Corpus Christi, Del Rio and Victoria stay perfectly warm during the winter.
Arizona: Tucson gets at an average temperature of 65 to 85 degree winters.
Georgia: Savannah gets the warmest in winter with highs averaging at least 60 degrees, while Athens and Atlanta drop to highs of just above 50 degrees. It is not the best, but the weather is still pretty decent for it to be winter.
South Carolina: Charleston has good temperatures year round. During winter, the temperature stays around 57 degrees at the highest.
North Carolina: The highest temperatures for Asheville drop down to the mid 40’s during January, but Cape Hatteras, manages to stay about ten degrees warmer.
Delaware: Wilmington is not as warm as the other places on the list, but it gets around 40 degrees in January.
Louisiana: In Baton Rouge, Lake Charles and New Orleans the winters get above 60 degrees.
Yes, these places are out of state, but now you know some places to go for the next winter, or you could plan a quick trip for this winter.
Winters do not always have to be at home by yourself, freezing, trying to warm up under a cover, they can be a fun time swimming and receiving a tan.
